I would like to make all members aware of my new web site
http://www.tetraaide.com which details a product that I have designed
for a quadriplegic friend. I would appreciste any positive or negative
feedback as to it's usefullness for your particular situation.

Thank you,

There is no need to spend that much money on all of that fancy stuff. You can get an inexpensive laptop, a good set of headphones and a program called Dragon naturally speaking 8.0. I use the Professional Edition. Just because I got a bargain on the software before I got 8.0. I used 7.0 before this and had no issues but I also have a very nice laptop and you can always pick up a table from target is where I got mine. You can also get an attachment to mount to your wall is used for TVs. But I don't understand why everybody wants to spend all of that money. When most of us are on a fixed income

Also, when I was at University of Michigan for rehabilitation. I tried out many different systems that were available at that time, and most of them took forever to even type. The simplest sentences, because they used the virtual keyboard, which also made my neck very sore

I'm just looking out for us on limited incomes and I am not trying to take away from anybody's business. If anybody has any other adaptive equipment that will help us out that will be great to hear about it

I have a little bit of movement in my hands, but not enough to push buttons of a remote so when I was laying in bed having to ask somebody to change my channels every hour or half-hour. I came up with another thing it took a little bit of soldering skills. But you can get a universal remote and discombobulate it and solder some wires to either the channel up or channel down buttons and go to the auto-parts store and get a universal horn button and wire it in and now every time you push the button. The channels will go up. I have been using it for about three years, and I have had to replace the button, but it has worked really well

I hope I did not urinate on anybody's cornflakes
